are ordained ministers with the Assemblies of God and serve as World Missionaries in the Latin America and Caribbean Region as the Acts 2 Journey Initiative (A2J) Representatives. They answered the call to world missions in 1987, and are celebrating 43 years of marriage and ministry, . 

Together, they’ve planted 13 churches in southern Mexico, and in 1996, while working in drug- and gang-infested areas of the city, they established a Men’s and Women’s Teen Challenge Center in Guadalajara. In 1997, they launched a national church-planting movement through the School of Christ International, training over 500 national workers who planted more than 400 churches throughout Mexico and other parts of Latin America. Ernie and Sandra also helped plant churches in Spain, mentored pastors, and conducted Holy Spirit Conferences while witnessing hundreds— ages 5 to 85— receive supernatural empowerment through the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Today, Ernie and Sandra continue to serve in church planting and leadership development throughout Latin America and the Caribbean as facilitators and mentors with the Acts 2 Journey Initiative (A2J). The Lord has strategically positioned them in this season of ministry, where their leadership role enables them to serve and support national leaders and churches across the LAC Region by launching and leading the Acts 2 Journey Initiative—a Spirit-empowered process that equips pastors and their vision teams to develop healthy, growing, and multiplying churches through intentional vision, leadership, and mission alignment.

Their vision is to establish the ministry of the Acts 2 Journey in every country across Latin America and the Caribbean. To accomplish this, they are working directly with national leadership teams to develop and train facilitators who, in turn, are responsible for implementing the A2J Initiative in their local churches. The Acts 2 Journey is missionally driven to equip and empower pastors and church multipliers through assessment, training, coaching, and by providing strategic resources for church revitalization and team building.

The LAC Region encompasses Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean Islands—a total of 49 countries with 671 million people and 491 unreached people groups. More than 550 million still live in spiritual darkness in Latin America, and only one in six profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
